본지 발행인 "신문사 문을 닫는 한이 있더라도 대응해나가겠다."
 단학조직측은 17일(수) 새벽 12시09분에 Joseph Alexander(단요가 & 헬스센터의 대변인겸 부사장) 명의로 본지에 지난주 게재됐던 기사에 대해 반박글을 이메일로 보내왔다.
또한 같은 날 아침 9시경, 단학 계열회사인 Votex의 노경민씨(여)는 본사에 전화를 걸어 "이번 일을 변호사에게 넘기기로 했다"고 통보해왔다.
장재원 본지 발행인은 "단학에서 문제를 삼고 있는 기사는 채널15 ABC방송국에 보도되었다는 사실을 그대로 본보가 보도한 것이고, 또한 해당 기사 말미에는 단학조직이 ABC방송국에 해명한 내용도 실려 있었으므로 '단요가 & 헬스센터'의 대변인이 자신들의 입장을 함께 실지 않은 불공정한 보도라는 주장은 말이 되지 않는다"고 말하고 "단학측에서 과연 우리 기사를 제대로 읽어 보기나 한 것인지, 그리고 소송기사에 관한 해명을 ABC방송국에도 요청했는지도 궁금하다"며 단학측의 불만제기에 대해서는 일일이 대응할 일고의 가치도 없다는 입장을 밝혔다.
장재원 발행인은 이어 "이번주중으로 경찰 리포트와 함께 단학 관계자들의 절도죄에 관한 형사법상 책임을 물을 수순을 밟아 나갈 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
장재원 발행인은 또 "우리 뒤에는 변호사도 없고 법률적인 면을 잘 알지도 못하지만, 신문사 문을 닫는 일이 생기더라도 생계와 비즈니스를 위협한 절도행위, 교민들의 알권리를 이승헌에 대한 자신들의 삐뚤어진 충성심으로 짓밟아버리는 작태, 미 주류언론에는 대응하지 못하고 작은 한인신문사만을 상대하려는 비겁함을 미국내 언론은 물론 KBS, MBC 등 본국의 유수 언론에도 제보할 예정"이라고 강조하고 제보기사 작성을지시했다.
또한 17일 오전 10시경 ABC방송국의 Nicole Longhini 기자는 본사에 전화를 걸어 경찰 리포트를 언제할 것인지를 알려달라며 취재를 약속했고, 이 절도사건과 관련된 사진과 증거, 증인, 녹음파일 등 모든 정보를 요청하여 본사에서는 현재 가지고 있는 모든 정보를 제공키로 했다.

Dear Mr. Jang:
As the official spokesperson, I am sending you this letter regarding your recent article about Dahn Yoga & Health Centers, Inc (밆?le and that article did not include input from us. This is not fair or ethical journalism. For your information, we are including information about Dahn Yoga and our current official statement regarding the lawsuit.
ABOUT DAHN YOGA:
With over 30 years in the yoga business, Dahn Yoga has nearly 1,000 centers worldwide with over 2,000 employees. Besides the U.S., Dahn Yoga is located in Korea, Japan, Germany, Canada, U.K., Russia, Sweden, Brazil, and South Africa and has positively impacted the lives of millions of people in schools, community centers, camps, parks, businesses and governments worldwide.
UPDATE ON THE FRIVOLOUS LAWSUIT AGAINST DAHN YOGA:
"This lawsuit is not brought by 24 individuals. Based on our investigation, there is one ring-leader, plaintiff by the name of Lucy Vogel and after over 1 year of coercing others, she assembled 23 friends as followers.
Our investigation also finds that plaintiffs continue to harass Dahn Yoga employees and their families. Dahn Yoga will take every step to protect its employees against such harassment.
Ironically, although the plaintiffs filed a lawsuit with the court on May 22, 2009, Dahn Yoga still has not been officially served with notice of such lawsuit. It appears the plaintiffs are more interested in trying to fraudulently harm Dahn Yoga's reputation versus seeking the truth in court.
Dahn Yoga has the truth on its side and will continue to vigorously defend itself in the court of law and the court of public opinion."
