투산 중국인 이사회(이사장 David Hum)는 2004년 4월 중국문화회관 건립시 100만 달러를 기증한 John Kai씨 가족을 비롯해 기부금을 후원자들을 문화회관으로 초청해 감사자리를 마련했다. 회관은 거액을 희사한 독지가의 이름을 빌어 'John & Marie Kai Family Building'으로 공식화됐다. 200여 인사들이 참석한 가운데 연단에 선 아들 John Kai씨는 "부모의 뜻을 이어 후손들의 장래를 위한 커뮤니티의 단합에 동참하겠다"고 말했고 참석자들도 뜨거운 박수를 보냈다.
